Report: Spokesman: Putin busy with Russia’s anti-crisis agenda
MOSCOW, Mar 12 (PRIME) -- Russian President Vladimir Putin is not appearing before press because he has a very busy anti-crisis agenda, spokesman Dmitry Peskov told radio station Echo Moskvy on Thursday.
“He is holding meetings constantly but not all of them are public. The agenda is very tight, it is about the crisis issues also, and so on. Now, there is constant communication with the government, with state companies and with the banking sector. Naturally, this takes much time. This is why all these statements, you know, (on Putin’s illness) are abstract,” Peskov said.
On Wednesday, Putin postponed a meeting with the presidents of Kazakhstan and Belarus for several days. Several news agencies reported then that Putin might have fallen ill because he did not make public appearances since March 6.
RBC news agency reported that Putin’s next public meeting was with the Federal Security Service but Peskov denied Putin planned to participate in the meeting this year.
